Councilwoman Chenowith

In a recent article by Justin Fenton, it has been revealed that Veronica Chenowith has leukemia. This is a disastrous disease, and while I may disagree with her politcally, I wish her the best of health. Stating she's a fighter, Councilwoman Chenowith intends to seek re-election. I sincerely hope her health does not impact any votes on the council (but an absece will certainly end that nasty 3-3 tie ordeal).

I wonder how her primary opponent will work with that. Will he attack her (Chenowith isn't physically capable of representing her district)? Or will he leave it alone.

Same can be said for Twanmoh. What will/won't be done with this info...

Story as it unfolds....

Chenowith has been a failure for at least the past 10 years, her health notwithstanding. She needs to be attacked on her poor record. That should be enough.

I agree with the both of you. Mr. Kane, thank you for your honest opinion, its quite welcomed here. Yellowdog, you have an excellent point. Her divisive partisanship has slowed the council to a virtual standstill.

I too wish Ms Chenowith all the best. Her illness can be very draining on both her and her family. She should remain in our thoughts and prayers. However, I feel that it is inappropriate for her to continue to seek office. Her absence recently created issues with council votes and future missed meeting will no doubt lead to problems. Ms. Chenowith stated she had unfinished business to accomplish on the council as her reason for running. The council seat should not be about what unfinished business an individual has, but the betterment of our neighborhoods.
